Our Mission

At PreDent Mentor, we are dedicated to guiding pre-dental students on their journey to becoming successful applicants to dental school. Our coaching community offers personalized support, expert advice, and valuable resources to help students excel in their academic and professional pursuits. With a focus on mentorship and skill development, we aim to empower the next generation of pre-dents with guidance and mentorship to excel in all areas before and/or during applying to dental school.

Through our tailored application help, our letters of recommendation templates, our personal statement-building workshop, and experienced mentorship, we equip students with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to navigate the challenges of undergraduate school and applying to dental school.

Meet Founder and Head Mentor

David Yamin

As a UCLA graduate with Summa Cum Laude honors, I have developed a strong academic foundation, particularly in the sciences, with a unique major in World Arts and Cultures. Having completed all of my pre-dental coursework at UCLA, I gained invaluable insight into the rigorous path to dental school. My leadership as president of UCLA's PDSOP Pre-Dental Club, combined with my experience conducting neurological research, has deepened my understanding of both the academic and extracurricular requirements for success in dentistry. With over a year of mentoring pre-dental students, I’ve guided tens of students through the complexities of the application process and shared strategies for achieving success. Currently a D1 at UCLA's School of Dentistry, I am on the board of ASDA Pre-Dental where I lead mentorship events with 40+ pre-dentals , and am now taking on the role as American Student Dental Association's District 13 Pre-Dental Chair of all of California! My journey into top dental schools (UCLA, Michigan, USC, and more) has equipped me with the expertise and experience to provide thoughtful, informed, and personalized mentorship to aspiring dentists at every stage of their journey.
